The geometry and surface finish on the pistol receiver is no longer critical due to the integral feed ramp design; the bullet tips no longer engage the receiver feed like with all other 10rd-9mm mags. Instead, the bullet tips engage the integral magazine feed ramp and are directed straight up and into the barrel chamber!
